Eastern Point Retreat House

Set along the rocky shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Gloucester, MA, Eastern Point Retreat Center offers a sacred and serene environment for deep spiritual reflection rooted in the Ignatian tradition. Operated by the Jesuits, the center hosts a wide range of silent retreats and days of prayer throughout the year.

Directed Retreats

• Silent retreats (5–8 days or longer)

• Daily one-on-one sessions with a trained spiritual director

Spiritual Exercises (2026)

• Full 30-day Ignatian retreat offered annually (January and July)

• Requires prior experience with silent retreats and spiritual direction

Accommodations & Meals

• Simple, private rooms; most with ocean views and balconies

• Shared bathrooms, laundry facilities available

• Three meals daily (vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, and allergy accommodations)

• Silent and smoke-free environment

• Snacks and drinks available throughout the day

• Check-in after 2:00 PM; dinner at 6:00 PM
