Dayspring Silent Retreat Center

Dayspring Silent Retreat Center is a serene, ecumenical retreat destination located on 210 acres of rolling meadows, forests, streams, and ponds. Nestled in tranquil natural surroundings, Dayspring offers a sacred space for anyone seeking rest, reflection, and renewal through the practice of silence.

Located in the heart of nature, the retreat grounds feature peaceful walking paths, a stone labyrinth, quiet wooded trails, and seating areas ideal for meditation and stillness. Guests are invited to let nature support their spiritual journey.

Dayspring hosts a range of silent retreats designed to deepen one’s spiritual life. Regular offerings include “Quiet Days,” which are half-day silent retreats from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. These gatherings create space for silence within a supportive community. Each Quiet Day begins with a brief reflective talk by a retreat leader before entering into personal silence.

The center also features occasional longer retreats such as the “Growing in Wisdom of the Body” weekend retreat. Inspired by the teachings of mystic Cynthia Bourgeault, this retreat emphasizes embodied spirituality—“knowing with more of you”—and invites participants to connect with inner wisdom through silence and reflective practice.

Guests are accommodated in two buildings designed to support contemplative experience. The Lodge offers communal space with a cozy sitting room, fireplace, small library, kitchen, and dining area with views of open meadows. The Inn, nestled deeper in the forest, provides 18 private rooms, each simply furnished with a twin bed, chair, table, and sink, providing solitude and quiet for personal retreat.

Dayspring welcomes all who feel drawn to silence as a spiritual practice. Retreats are inclusive and ecumenical in nature.
